Rayuzz here!
I'm sitting in my python print spandex onesie, watching the rain (whilst pouting), and thought I'd bring anybody who gives a rats arse up to date with everything going on in the Pout cayump.
Right. The Waterfront on 7th December. Anybody who was present at our June Waterfront gig, when we also had the brilliant Dead Red and incredible Pocket Godzillas (R.I.P) tearing it up with us, will know that these Waterfront shows are, like Marco Platinum, a bit "special". And December 7th is proving to be even more special! Firstly, ticket sales have gone through the roof. The Waterfront have recalled some of the bands tickets, and I know by next weekend, all our personal allocation will be gone. This bears testament to the unbelievable dedication of the Norwich rock fans. So, on behalf of every band playing on 7th December, a huge "thank you" to everybody!! It really is amazing!
So, 7th December. Doors are 6.30pm, and first band is onstage at 7pm. Yeah, we know it's early, but believe us, if you CAN get there, then do. You wont regret it........
7pm - Wicked Faith
First band onstage are the (quite incredible) Wicked Faith. I first saw this band at the end of January this year, and I was quite literally GOBSMACKED with what I saw and heard. Incredible musicians, incredible songs and amazing stage presence only tells half the story. A combination of massive grooves, riffs that should have some kind of health warning, and the beautiful soaring vocals of front woman Jade make a lethal brew. The guys released their debut EP this year to a packed out B2, have supported Reckless Love at The Waterfront , and will now be hitting The Waterfront mainstage for the very first time with us in December. The term "future of rock music" is a well worn term, but with these guys, I really feel it's wholly appropriate. They are one genuinely exciting proposition and truly are NOT TO BE MISSED!!
7.45pm - No Mercy
No Mercy are the Godfathers of the Norwich hard rock scene. If you were at our Waterfront show last December, you will know that No Mercy have really embodied their approach and sound perfectly in their band name! Killer songs, riffs and attitude have ensured that these guys have built up and maintained a fantastic and loyal fan base, and I know they will have their brand spanking new album "Revolution" on sale at the Waterfront show, to give people a big fat dose of No Mercy in 2012. I've been lucky enough to have heard the album, and it SLAYS!! These guys are the real deal, and have proved it time and again, and I cant wait to see them smash it once again!!!
8.30 - Us!
Never did I think we would have headlined The Waterfront 3 times in the space of a year. To play a venue where all of us in Pout have stood and watched some of our biggest influences is truly is an honour! As is our tradition, we will be playing 2 (possibly 3) new songs on 7th December, and we really, REALLY cant wait to get back on that stage!! To do what we love doing, in the presence of possibly 700 of our friends, is something words cant really describe. Just know that we will bring the anthems, the fun, the hair and the spandex, we already know you lot will bring the atmosphere that makes these gigs so special!! We wont let you down people!!!! The party starts VERY soon.........:-)
So following the Waterfront show, we will be playing Yardbirds in Grimsby which is always an amazing night, and then it's Xmas!!! Keep your eyes peeled though, you never know, we may pop up somewhere on New Years Eve..........;-)
2013 is looking rosy, with gigs confirmed at the 02 Academies in Islington and Birmingham, as well as our debut in Wales!! But more about 2013 to follow..............
So, roll on 7th december for what will be the biggest Pout night yet...........and thank you all once again!!!
Lots of love
Rayuzz
