3 weeks to go!!!

Razz here.  Ok, so the big countdown to our Waterfront June 1st gig has begun. 3 weeks and counting! I thought now would be a good time to just look ahead to the night, and for those who don’t know them, give my own personal take on the bands playing!

Dead Red – Onstage 7pm
Ok it’s an early start, and I know it’s easy to think “I’ll get there in time for the headline act”, but on this occasion PLEASE DON’T!  For me, Dead Red are one of the most exciting bands I’ve heard in quite some time.  I first checked these guys out at an all dayer at The Marquee (R.I.P), and was blown away by the combination of some huge riffs, massive grooves, great dynamics and mood changes, and the soaring vocals of female lead singer Nikki, whilst always keeping the emphasis on “the song”.  You know when you hear a track and think to yourself “I could imagine this on a rock TV channel?” Well, they have several songs in their artillery that provoke that type of reaction.  In a fair world, this band would be massive, and as I’ve been lucky enough to hear one of the phenomenal tracks from their upcoming album, they still might be…..

Pocket Godzillas – Onstage 7.45pm
Once you have recovered from Dead Red, you will have time to grab a pint, chill out for 5 minutes, before The Pocket Godzillas come along, and sonically punch you full in the face!  Full on, no holes barred, no bullshit, good time ROCK N ROLL.  Instantly catchy songs, AMAZING lead vocals courtesy of Bub, tight as a nuns twodge harmony vocals, and in Big Mike, they possess one of the fiercest, hardest hitting yet technically AWESOME drummers in the business. I would pay £5 to purley watch him snarl, shout, stick twirl and DESTROY for 30 minutes!  They could literally flatten a field of corn with one song. I’ve been fortunate enough to catch these guys several times, and they always kick my arse!  Rest assured, once you’ve seen them live, they are never forgotten! Brilliant band!!

Pout At The Devil – Onstage 8.30pm
5 blokes, playing their favourite songs of all time.  Plus they get to play “dress up” whilst doing it.  You know whats coming.  The greatest sing along hits of 80’s rock, including some new songs we shall be playing for the first time…….it’s gonna be AWESOME……..trust me…….we wont let you down….:-) Plus we look damn good....

Once the gig is over, never fear.  The Waterfront then becomes the greatest club on the planet, playing nothing but 80’s hits until 2am!!

So all of THAT, for £5.  Kick off the jubilee long weekend with a bang!!.  Is there any reason NOT to buy a ticket??

If you still dont have one, contact the bands, or order direct from the box office at
