Ahhhhh.........finally, tomorrow night, The King Eddie, we are back in Norwich! Hurrah! It seems like an eternity since that amazing night at The Waterfront! 8 weeks to be exact! Since that night, when almost 600 of you beautiful people came and rocked with us, The Pocket Godzillas and Dead Red, we have been pretty darn busy!
Most of us were at Download the following weekend! It may have been muddy, but it still didn't stop us from ROCKING, and looking awesome whilst doing so. Myself, Dirk Steele and Randii LAMOW showed our commitment to the rock cause by getting off a bus that was stuck in a traffic jam, and hiking three miles to make the start of Little Angels eagerly awaited set! It was 20 years since I last saw them, and there was no way some gay traffic jam was gonna stop us! We made it, had time to grab a beer, and make it toward the front! After a quick *pbh* between us all, they hit the stage. Shit we're cool. The rest of the weekend was amazing, with Sebastian Bach, Metallica, Saint Jude, and of course the dark lords themselves BLACK SABBATH were the outstanding highlights! In fact, when Sabbath played "Into The Void", it may well have been the greatest 7 odd minutes ever!
I then buggered off to Spain for a week (oh yayuh), but it was straight back into action on my return. Rehearsal, then the following night we played a biker festival in Bungay, which ended up pretty bloody well actually! The following day we made our debut in the AWESOME Yardbirds rock club in Grimsby, for what was one of our best ever gigs! Amazing venue, brilliant crowd, very welcoming guys running the place. First class!
Anyway, that pretty much brings us to today, or should I say tomorrow, and The King Eddie! The fun starts at 8.15pm, when Dirty Rotten Cash hit the stage! Now, although we've known these guys for ages, this will be the first time we've seen them live, so it's going to be interesting and brilliant! I have known lead singer Rick for yonks, and I know one thing, it'll be MENTAL! Expect brilliantly punked up renditions of Johnny Cash songs, although that only tells half the story.......:-)
Then up next are Wicked Faith, a band we have got to know very well this year. I saw them for the very first time at the end of January this year, and they absolutely blew me away. Such exciting and talented young original rock bands dont come along very often, so when they do, it is something very special. They have since supported Pout several times and have kicked maximum ass every single time, and their profile and reputation is increasing daily! These guys are the real deal, and I cant wait to see them play tomorrow night :-)
Then it'll be US! As this is quite a special gig, we have pulled together a special set list! So, there will be a lot of songs you may NEVER have heard us play before! As well as a load of classics that you have! It's gonna rock whatever! Oh yayuh!
Anyway, see you tomorrow night people! Get there early and get a decent spot, I think it's gonn a be quite snug :-)
Lots of love and kisses
Rayuzz xx
